About Us
Our History
We are young people who love learning. Began as a group at Research Center for Biotechnology Molecular and Bioinformatics (Pusris), Universitas Padjadjaran. We carry out various research in the biotechnology field. Apart from that, we also organize various seminars and workshops.
Experts in bioinformatics, we work on protein design, such as enzymes, epitopes for vaccines, proteins for diagnostic kits, and other functional proteins. Alpha-amylase is one of the bioinformatics-based products that has been successfully produced. Furthermore, we also developed the vaccine for COVID-19, influenza, gumboro (IBDV), dengue, chikungunya, and HPV. In the diagnostic platform, we developed Lateral Flow Assay kit to detect specific local pathogens due to Indonesia’s genetic diversity. One of the products that have been established is CEPAD (in collaboration with Pusris Unpad, TMC, and PBI), a rapid diagnostic test for COVID-19.
Since 2021, we have been transformed into Biomolekul Data Sains (BIOMODS). Providing a wide range of analytical and research services focusing on biotechnology.
Conducting the research alone is certainly challenging. Therefore, we are here to be your research partner. Owing to our extensive experience and knowledge, we are confident that we can work with a variety of parties. We believe that BIOMODS can continue to grow under the guidance of Prof. Toto Subroto, M.S, M. Yusuf, Ph.D, and Ari Hardianto, Ph.D, who are always there to help us.
